The Noomayianat Community Development Organization (NCDO) was established in 2005 by some residents of Kimana in Loitokitok District, Kajiado County in Kenya. Loitokitok is a semi-arid area that is part of the wildlife-rich Amboseli Ecosystem at the border between Kenya and Tanzania. The Kimana wetlands are a system of springs and streams that are fed by water from the melting snow of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Kimana wetlands are therefore a major lifeline in the area and support the various livelihoods of pastoralists, farmers and abundant wildlife, which in turn supports a thriving tourism industry. NCDO promotes the participatory conservation and restoration of the Kimana Wetlands. The Noomayianat Community Development Organization (NCDO) Millennium Community Development Initiatives (MCDI) P.O.
